The principles of the establishment of the DANA:

To nurture and mould orphans to become a generation which is knowledgeable and skillful and of good character in line with the concept of Malay Islamic Monarchy, loyal and faithful to the King, Religion and their Nation.

To be a charitable endowment in order to enhance and develop a feeling of affection, sympathy and care towards the welfare and well being of the orphans.
