A Board of Trustees of the DANA, comprising of a Chairman, Deputy Chairman and such number of other trustees, all of whom shall be appointed by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam which shall be responsible for the general control and management of the administration of DANA.

The Board is responsible to ensure that accounting records are properly kept to show and explain all the DANA's transactions, and which are such as to disclose at any time, with reasonable accuracy, the financial position of the DANA at that time.

The Board shall prepare a statement of accounts in respect of each financial year of the DANA.

The Board shall prepare in respect of each financial year of the DANA an annual report containing such report by the Board on the activities during that year and such other information relating to the DANA or to its Board or officers. The annual report to be prepared shall be transmitted to the Minister responsible for finance by the Board which shall be attached to it the statement of accounts for that specific financial year together with the report made by the auditors on that statement of accounts.

DANA shall within 6 months of the end of its financial year present to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam a report on the proceedings of the DANA throughout the year.
